Slottet er en historisk bolig med en tilstødende gammel bondelandsby, som i nogle år nu er blevet renoveret til en charmerende bondegård beliggende i en af kommunerne ved Bolsena-søen på Grotte di Castros område.

Godset ligger mellem Lazio, Toscana og Umbrien midt i et uspoleret landskab i et af de mindst beboede områder i Italien, halvvejs mellem Rom og Siena, kun 9 km fra Bolsena-søen, den største vulkanske sø i Italien. Europa og 35 km fra Orvieto.

En region med stadig intakt natur og et ideelt område for magiske udflugter blandt slotte, gamle renæssancepaladser, charmerende landsbyer oppe på uigennemtrængelige klipper og etruskiske nekropoler, der er gået tabt i landskabet.
