  “Very peaceful surroundings”

  The accomodation was clean and tidy, and the grounds we’re very well kept. The pool area was very peaceful and clean.

  We thought the food was poorly prepared and presented and generally low quality. There is also no bar for buying refreshments during the day, so you need to travel to Assisi if you want snacks or drinks.

  “Wunderschöne Idylle und absolute Ruhe”

  Wir haben uns in Assisi 1815 sehr wohl gefüht. Als Familie mit zwei Kindern hatten wir ein wunderbares Zimmer mit zwei Schlafräumen und einem praktischem Bad. Der Sonnenuntergang konnte vom Bett aus beobachtet werden. Das Frühstücksbufett war sehr abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Das abwechslungsreiche Abendessen war eine große Gaumenfreude. Gesamtes Personal war immer sehr nett, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam.

  “Beau cadre mais difficile à trouver et difficile d'accès. ”

  Cadre agréable, chambre ok

  Le bruit : Très bruyant de 20h à 23 h le soir car chambre tout à côté du restaurant en terrasse; on entend les pas au-dessus le matin. Centre trop important. Ne ressemble pas à un vrai agriturismo.

  Trop bruyant, trop de monde : à éviter.

  “Relaxing location - appalling road conditions”

  Assisi 1815 is located outside of Assisi, allowing for relaxation and enjoyment of the natural beauty of the surroundings. You will enjoy excellent beer and delicious food.

  The directions to Assisi 1815 found on the website are incomplete. the directions state, for example, to take the exit to Assisi. The article "the" implies one exit only. However, there are several. This is one's first opportunity to get lost. After that the directions say "proceed to state road 444". If you are traveling for the first time in this region, you cannot know that 444 begins somewhere around or within Assisi. It is not signposted on the roads adequately. The directions do not include descriptions of prominent locations within Assisi which one will pass while on state road 444, e.g. piazzas. The directions do not mention the city gate which one needs to pass though while on 444 and leaving the city. This is an important landmark! If you pass though this, you are on the right road. The directions should also mention that you will need to travel about 6km on 444 before turning off onto Loc. S. Maria di Lignano. In all honesty, the owners should also mention that the road is very bad condition. Once you travel on it for a few minutes, you wonder if you have chosen the wrong location for your holidays. Loc. S. Maria di Lignano is in dire need of a complete renewal - not just the filling of a few of the myriad of potholes and missing asphalt. Besides the bad road conditions, we were quite surprised that only a few of the staff were willing or able to speak in a language other than their native Italian. I speak several languages, but only understand Italian only to some extent and do not speak it. We noticed that the Italian guests of Assisi 1815 received much greater attention. Staff who did not speak English avoided contact with us.

  If you decide to book Assisi 1815 , be sure to get clear directions ahead of time. Your GPS will not be of great help.
